How to Become an Ordained Minister
The specific requirements for wedding ministers, like the documents necessary to perform a marriage, also
vary from one location to another. The first step in the process is to ensure that you have become a minister by getting ordained online with a valid religious organization
like the Universal Life Church Monastery. Legal online ordinations from the Universal Life Church are
accepted in almost every area of the United States, the only exceptions being Virginia and some parts of
Ordained Minister License
After becoming ordained, you should check the marriage laws of the state you'll be performing a wedding in
and contact the office of the local marriage authority (usually the county clerk) to confirm what you need.
Then, purchase the required minister certificate or ordained minister license to perform the
