The gay embrace takes up about 10 seconds of the 83 second ad, or 12%.

Is a jewelry company featuring a lesbian couple in a commercial “normalizing the LGBTQ lifestyle,” or simply advertising to an underserved market?

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, anti-gay activist group One Million Moms’ latest crusade is against jewelry maker Pandora over their latest ad campaign, "Loves, Unboxed."

The roughly 90-second commercial shows a variety of happy, smiling couples exchanging jewelry – including a female couple dancing and embracing.

You can see the ad in question below.

Now, the group has started a petition protesting the company’s “flaunting” of same-sex relationships in their face… a petition which more than ten thousand individuals have signed in a matter of days.

The “Blatantly” Gay Ad

“Jewelry company Pandora, through its liberal advertising choices, is attempting to normalize the LGBTQ lifestyle,” begins the petition on the One Million Moms website.

Decrying the intimate embrace of a lesbian couple early in the jewelry ad as “blatantly [throwing] homosexuality in the viewer’s face,” the group insists that “Pandora should avoid aiming to please a small percentage of consumers while pushing away conservative customers.”

“It is also of great concern that this commercial is airing when children are likely to be watching,” they said.

Some 13,000+ individuals have signed the petition, “urging Pandora to pull its LGBTQ-inclusive ad immediately.”

Pandora has yet to respond.

Advertisers Walk a Fine Line

It isn’t just the jewelry world that is pivoting towards more inclusive content. LGBTQ+ acceptance has skyrocketed in the last decade, and companies are taking note. Family-focused brands like Disney and Hallmark are including gay characters in their stories, helping reduce stigma against the LGBTQ+ community.

A cynical reading of the situation is that companies – always on the lookout for profit – simply see an underserved market that is now relatively politically safe to market to, and are doing as much.

But there is still the risk of running afoul of religious consumers, some of whom view LGBTQ+ themed advertising as advancing a so-called "gay agenda" that poses a threat to the nation's moral fabric.

And this group's buying power is real. Just look at Bud Light, which is still facing financial repercussions for partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney

The petition’s authors argue that by embracing the relatively small LGBTQ+ community, Pandora is alienating the much larger Christian community.

But with LGBTQ+ acceptance at an all-time high, and “none” is now America’s fastest growing religion, some advertisers think that excluding the LGBTQ+ community poses a greater risk for businesses in the long term.

What is your reaction? Is the jewelry ad offensive, or is it just an expanded celebration of love that is fast becoming normalized?

God, with a capital "G" gave us free will. So he is not going to stop how a person behaves regardless if it goes against his teachings or not. I believe homosexuality is wrong. Two men cannot naturally create life/have a baby, two women cannot naturally create life/have a baby. It takes a man and a woman to natural create life/have a baby. This is why I believe homosexuality is wrong.

With that being said I do respect a persons choice to live there life the way they choose. So if someone is homosexual I will not get in there face or try to make them feel uncomfortable, but I will not support them or anything they are associated with.

          1. Tracy Busby's Avatar Tracy Busby

Procreating is only one aspect of love. There are many ways to express love to one another, emotionally and physically. If you tell me there is only one right way to do it physically, then anything that a heterosexual couple does outside of that ONE way would be a sin. So, all you/us creative couples would be just as wrong, because it's not 'natural.'

Making a baby is one outcome and one reason on this earth to make love. Many heterosexual people make babies and never once make love, because they do not love one another.

I believe God finds greater joy in a gay couple making soulful love to one another, who genuinely love, honor and respect one another, than He/She/It does in a heterosexual couple having mechanical sex, who don't even really know or care for one another.

God is LOVE. We get so wrapped up in using our magnifying glasses to scrutinize what we think God means by what has been translated to us, rather than using our our hearts and souls to use REAL sense.

Parents are worried about their children being influenced. Why? They're afraid that ALL the evil gays are gonna turn their kids gay? Right. Because all the gay kids in the past were able to be indoctrinated into being straight. Right? Mm-hmm.... All those 'normal' commercials and 'normal', 'wholesome' TV shows they grew up with corrupted them into being straight. So, of course the straight ones will easily be corrupted into being gay if they for one second think it might be at all normal. Totally legit. 😣🤦🏼‍♀️

To give them a little grace, though, I was stuck in that fear at one point, because I was taught that, too. That fear that if you don't verbalize that it's wrong, then you don't stand for Jesus. And then you will burn in hell. And if you don't save others, then they will burn in hell. And good God, if your kids get snatched up into it, they will burn in hell! But that's all man-made fear. God is not fear. God is LOVE.

Life is so much better once you know that. You can stop trying to fix everyone and just freaking love them. Starting with yourself. 💜

Love to all of you! 😍

With 8 bilion people on this planet straining the earth's resources--I don't think we need EVERYONE to be procreating all the time. There is more to human life than just procreating, procreating, procreating. Much, much more. Native American peoples gave homosexuals the title of "two-spirit" people and also gave them a high rank as healers, alchemists, wise counsellors, and warriors. recognizing them as especially spiritually and intellectually gifted. Thru the past 35 years I have known many and have seen many possess these the qualities. The American Indian peoples are right. you should open your mind. Good reference is: Another Mother Tongue. That would be about 2,000 people per square mile, roughly the same population density as the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey, and less than the roughly 3,000 people per square mile in Bermuda. There is enough space in America for all the people in the world to live comfortably.

Yes, only a male and female can creat a life, and back when the Bible was first written, it was important to have children to help with family farms and shops. Nowadays, that is not necessary.
The 10 Commandments, the laws that the Bible say were written by God himself, does not mention this at all. In fact there is a lot of positives with the LGBTQ+ community. Since they, for the most part, cannot have children of their own this opens up the potential for loving homes for countless children that do not have that. Perhaps that is God’s plan.

No, it’s not. But both are a form of prejudice. And both discriminate against a portion of the population due to stupidity and ignorance on the part of the oppressor. I remember growing up with a great majority of adults I was around being openly racist. And universally religious. And just as I never understood religion I never understood racism. Of course gays weren’t even discussed.

But as racism slowly became more socially unacceptable the ignorance and stupidity of this sort if person simply found different targets. Maybe 15 years ago my sister seemed to wear the friendship she formed with a black family down the street like a badge of honor. At the same time she was spouting off the conservative rhetoric of the far right about the problems caused by the growing Mexican population.

Same kind of fuss has been raised over the TV series "Alexander" (Alexander the Great) who apparently had a sexual involvment with a close companion. What's interesting is that the Greeks did not have a word for nor concept of homosexuality; to them it was just "sex". Then along comes the Christian Bible and all it's confusing directions and hidden meanings and all at once sex is something other than a basic urge and we have created---Sin! get off of it and get real.

John Spong, an Episcopalian Bishop and first to ordain an openly gay man, agreed the church created hell. He wrote some very enlightening books that expose hypocrisies, anachronisms, and bias. Didn't pretend to have an answer for everything. Probably one of few very religious types I could have a conversation with without wanting to plug my ears. Wish he were still around. I have questions.

      1. Danny D. Maynard's Avatar Danny D. Maynard

Yes, Hell was invented circa 1250 CE. Jesus was a practicing Jew, so he would not have had any concept of Hell, since even today, in 2024, the Jews still do not believe in Hell. There were 3 versions of Christianity that were invented by men: (1) the original apostles argued over allowing Gentiles into the newly invented mythology; (2) Saul/Paul took that version on the road, and added a bunch of stuff to it, and invented it the 3rd Pauline version which lasted until 325 CE, when the Roman Emperor Constantine decided to standardize all religions across the Roman Empire and then impose it upon the entire Roman population. It is at the Council of Nicaea that they newly invented the Trinity to appease the other mythologies that had multiple deities. They also moved Christmas to December rather than keeping it in the Spring near the time when they had to celebrate the death of their god(s) with both so close together. The Winter's "Festival of Lights", Saturnalia, during the Winter Solstice, was the perfect time for the planned liturgy and mythological story!

None of the Old Testament law is binding on Christians today.

I listened to an emergency room doctor years ago relating how the parents of what society would call social outcasts when meeting with him in the ER because their child was dying from an unexpected ordeal offered anything they had to save their lives. I watched on news last week the mother of a children convicted of a mass shooting defending him to the best of her ability. I am an old, straight, male, Christian and I find this petition to be an abomination before God. I never remember Jesus, during the sermon on the mount, saying "Blessed are the bigots, for the world will bow to their phobias". It was always my understanding that religion was God's gift to bring humankind together. The greatest perversity is using religion as a club to drive people back into the darkness. As to explaining this social phenomena to children, I doubt that you have to worry. They are far more understanding than adults. They realize that humans come in many colors, sizes, and beliefs. When my daughter asked about the new group of Muslim students attending her school, I simply explained that those girls came from a tradition far different from hers. I added that she must respect their tradition, but follow her own. I also predicted that if she welcomed them, they would become great friends. I don't claim to be a prophet, but my prediction came true. . .

I keep seeing the words “sexual preference” but it’s not a preference, it’s biological. I was raised in a heterosexual household with no exposure to LGBTQ lifestyle. In fact, I was raised to think it was wrong, abnormal, and sinful. I grew up hiding that part of myself thinking I was bad, that I wasn’t trying hard enough. I prayed daily to not have these feelings, but they stayed. I was a child who thought God and everyone else would hate me if they found out. Fortunately, I discovered that there was nothing wrong with me. I was as normal as everyone else.

I keep hearing that we are pushing this lifestyle in everyone’s face, and to keep it in the bedroom. Don’t hold hands in public, and certainly don’t kiss in public. What would the heterosexual world think if they were harassed for holding hands in public?

You cannot make a straight person gay no more than you can make a gay person straight. We are not trying to indoctrinate anyone, we are trying to tell children they are beautiful the way they are… no matter what they are… straight, gay, or bi.

I say stop indoctrinating children with religion. At least stop telling them the bible is God’s word. God didn’t write it man did. The same type of men who write laws selectively granting or denying rights to specific groups.

Believe whatever you like, but people are who they are. They exist. There was a time when the nuns in Catholic schools would hit you across the knuckles with a yardstick if you wrote with your left hand. Apparently, left handedness was a sign of Satan. There are people to this day that believe that. You can force someone to only write with their right hand, but it will never be natural for them to do so. One fast clip within a commercial of a gay couple (who may or may not be gay - they are actors) doesn't force anyone to be anything other than what they are. If the "million mom's" want to get upset, let them. I have sympathy for their children because some of them will be gay. That's just how it is.

I remember asking my mother about some of my friends and neighbors that followed different religions - apparent to me by their clothes or food choices, etc. She had a good answer. Another totally wrong cherry-picked bible verse out of context. If you'll read your bible in context and entirety, you;ll find the instruction to judge ther more times than there's bandwidth to quote here.

"Lest" it a literary conjunction that implies don't do something unless you're willing to be judged as well.

"Speak up and JUDGE fairly..." ~ Proverbs 31:9 "Do not judge by appearances, but JUDGE with right judgment.” ~ John 7:24 "You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you JUDGE your neighbor. " ~ Leviticus 19:5 " For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to JUDGE? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.” " 1 Corinthians5:12 "

Marketing directly to lesbians is a brilliant move. Women are by far the majority of the jewelry market's target demographic; cultural standards in the USA allow women more license for wearing more types of and quantities of jewelry. A lesbian shopping for her wife is more liable to see something in the store that she wants for herself than a man shopping for his spouse, because jewelry stores are 90+% women's jewelry. The chance of a multiple sale is higher if women are buying for women.

As for "shoving homosexuality in our faces", I have clear memory of having heterosexuality shoved in our faces for the last five decades, so a rare instance like this is a mere drop in the bucket. It's a shame that organizations claiming to be protective of children don't find something truly problematic to go protest, like threadbare school lunch funds, or the countrywide epidemic of understaffed and undertrained CPS divisions unable to prevent deaths by child abuse or neglect. Kids are dying in horrible ways every day, and two women kissing have nothing to do with that, so One Million Moms needs to get their act together and quit wasting everyone's time with nonsense like this.

I have to shake my head about the complaint that the ad “normalizes” same sex relationships. Since the beginning of recorded history there have been same sex relationships and they were considered normal in many cultures. How does a group of fundamentalists from one of hundreds of practicing religions get to define what’s normal, and try to restrict their expression?

The mere existence of people is not the same as blatantly throwing something in one's face. This group, 1 million moms, is way over the top. When I first read about Machiavelli the first thought was 'this is not new... who said those things before him'? Christians. Popes. Popes competing with popes. Christians competing with popes. Fake christians. And mule-like christians who smugly nod approval in support of their enslavement.

Machiavelli's guide for ruling was not born in isolation. To say humans aren't inclined toward violence when it suits them would be naive. Humans are spectacularly inventive when it comes to crushing spirits.

What christianity does very well, is beat browbeat the best out of people. Christianity is a tool used by tools, for fools.

Morals in Jesus'time allowed slavery but Paul made it a moral.practice that slaves be treated fairly. And for slaves to be obedient. Etc, etc. And we're committing infanticide now with abortion. So.what's your point.

            1. Lionheart's Avatar Lionheart

Well, Paul seems to have better morals than his God did then. His God said slaves could be beaten, as long as they don’t die in the first day or two.

I don’t agree with abortion, Sir Keith, and I definitely don’t agree with drowning people like that very naughty God of the Bible did. Was that a cultural problem back then? 🤔

Thank you so much for your reply. 🤗

        2. John Condron's Avatar John Condron

Yes, "He Who Breathes." Deuteronomy 22:25-27 does seem to condemn rape, saying "“But if the man meets the engaged woman out in the country, and he rapes her, then only the man must die."

But let's put that in context Shall we? What if the rape happened in the city? "…you must take both of them out to the gate of that city and stone them to death—the young woman because she did not cry out in the city, and the man because he has violated his neighbor’s wife. So you must purge the evil from among you. But if the man encounters a betrothed woman in the open country, and he overpowers her and lies with her, only the man who has done this must die. Do nothing to the young woman, because she has committed no sin worthy of death. This case is just like one in which a man attacks his neighbor and murders him.…"

The crime here is not the rape, it is a property violation. The rapist has "violated his neighbor's wife!""

War rape was specifically permitted by Deuteronomy 20:10–14. "As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder [Yahweh] your God gives you from your enemies."

In Numbers 31:13–18, Moses instructs his soldiers to " kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."

I could go on, but as you said, " I am not a slave to your words...." and you are apparently not a slave to the words of your bible.

      2. Thomas P. Davis's Avatar Thomas P. Davis

Until it happens to one that you love and then you will change your position. That is why we humans need rules, not rules that man have made. With their rules, someone is a winner (usually the one that made the rule), someone else is a loser. That is what made me interested in God's law, it is a WIN WIN for everyone. This is referring to the law that God wrote before sin was ever in this world, Not the laws that were written after because of sin in this world. Just imagine what a war would go like if all the soldiers did their own thing, or an orchestra or a sports team. I remember my son kicking at the soccer ball every chance he could, not to score points but to collect 25 cents. His grandfather told him that he would get 25 cents for every ball that he kicked. His team wasn't too happy that he did his own thing.

Though long, the commercial is well done.

From a marketing perspective, such a lavish presentation of apparently expensive jewelry feels unkind. As if that's available to the majority of viewers.

May be only about 20%ish of the U.S. is supposed to watch and buy for Valentine's Day? If so, I don't mind being a wet blanket.

A search online for how Valentine's Day was established might cool some jets and inspire consideration about what's really important between lovers. I wonder how many christians celebrate what is commonly thought of on St. Valentine's day.

"First of all, there was more than one Saint Valentine. There were three.

All three men lived during the 3rd century A.D. Two lived in Italy—Saint Valentine of Rome and Saint Valentine of Terni—while the third resided in a Roman province in North Africa. So which Saint Valentine do we celebrate on February 14th?

That would be the life of Saint Valentine of Rome who, far from being lucky in love on February 14th, was beheaded.

St. Valentine of Rome was supposedly a temple priest who was executed near Rome by the anti-Christian Emperor Claudius II. The crime? Helping Roman soldiers to marry when they were forbidden to by the Christian faith at the time."

There's more if you want to find it.

James, let me inform you, that as a retired licensed and board certified psychotherapist in 3 states, with 30+ years of training and expertise with adults, children, adolescents and families, including military members and US Border Patrol, there is NO classification of mental disorder for being homosexual. No diagnosis exists to identify people as needing "mental help" as you posted. That is all made up by homophobic and fearful people. Those who rant the loudest against homosexuality are usually fearful of their own sexuality. In longitudinal research we have found that heterosexual men are sexually aroused when viewing films of lesbians engaged in romantic sex because of the men's level of fantasizing of being with 2 women at one time. They use the "caring about children" as a coverup.

Gay is not normal. Never has been. I hold no hate towards gays, but what's hurting our children is making the lifestyle normal. Pushing that on children is not only perverted, it is evil. Children should be kept away from any sexual discussions. They are children and sex is inappropriate to discuss. They dont understand those things yet. And any teacher who pushes this on them should never be allowed in a classroom. I have many gay friends, and they know how I feel on the subject. They are still my friends. But, if you proclaim to love God and his word, you cannot justify that it is normal to be gay. Deuteronomy tell us it is an abomination. The word means un- natural. And if you really ponder the subject honestly, you know that it is un- natural.

Goodness gracious, most girls begin their menses around age 11-12 and need to be educated about their bodies prior to onset, sexuality, and how to be protected from real sexual predators. Same for boys. Catch up.

David, children in school are not receiving instructions on how to be gay. It’s not happening.

      2) God did not write in the bible that being homosexual is an abomination. Some guy who was disgusted by it wrote it down claiming it was the word of God.

Religion is about rules. Christianity was supposed to be about a relationship. A private intimate relationship between the person and thier creator. Not the world. Let God be the truth and all man be a liar. Whatever God tells them in thier private relationship with him is thier truth. If he has not convicted them that’s thier buisness. He has different things he wants for different people. That’s why we are not all born the same. It would be tragic if we were. We are called to love. Love does not judge. We are told not to judge others lest you be judged the same way. We are called to be examples of God himself yet so many blasphemers walk around polluting the hearts and minds of people with religious garbage pretending in thier arrogance and pride that a religion is who God is. Filled with hate and bitterness and pain creating it for others. Pushing people away from a God that loves them and treasures them no matter what. When God himself would never. It’s sad. Honestly if your child is so easily influenced you have bigger things to worry about than a commercial. Go home focus on being a parent and get out of other peoples bedrooms. Raise children to love be strong and to be so secure in who they are they don’t focus on others in such a hateful way. Teach them to deal with pain and issues in life within themselves not taking it out on others spreading pain around. Let them be who they are and be happy so the cycle doesn’t continue. I have eight children they love all accept all. They are shinning examples of Gods love evident in every aspect of thier lives. I am great full they would never attack someone for loving somebody. Remember these people are not God and they don’t speak for him. He is love not hate. This is heartbreaking. Father God we come before you in the name of Jeshua your son known as Jesus of Nazareth who died for us and made us clean and holy in your eyes lord, to touch the hearts and minds of all these people who are petitioning. We ask that you help them to love and see how they may be wrong and judging unfairly. We ask that you help them to remember who you are and how you love. To remind them they are to be an example of that love not of hate. We pray father that anyone offended by thier actions receives healing and is protected from the pain it may cause them. We ask that you let them know it’s not you and that your love is not like this. I thank you for being an amazing God who loves all people equally. We know it hurts you to be misrepresented in such a way. For all the children that may or may not be affected by this commercial we ask thier parents focus on raising them and helping them to not watch so much tv and to be more secure in who and what they are. As far as being a hypocrite. There are layers . While I may sleep with my husband in private my affection and conversations are often shown or heard in public. This is not hypocrisy. It’s simply a sign of the fact we are together and you can see it however I don’t need to tell everyone I love him or about our private conversations that would be Wierd right? There are intimate details of a relationship and public ones. That prayer was public and it was an expression of my love and compassion for those who are upset and hurting. Love is love. Jesus said there was only two commandments: love God & love your neighbor. Jesus wouldn't have condemned the love between anyone. He also said not to judge.

Quite honestly, I fail at the "not judging" part. These people who spout off about God & the Bible are clearly picking & choosing. The Bible condones: slavery (& has specific rules), sending bears to eat children, sending a husband to war so another man can covet his wife, slaying hundreds to collect their foreskin, giving your Virgin daughters to a drunk mob so you can sleep, killing first borns who aren't like you, sacrificing people & animals, etc.

It also ONLY calls out men sleeping with men; says nothing about women. These are all people who in order to feel righteous have to feel "better than another".

They should ALL take front roll seats in "The Church of Everyone's Damned But Me".

considering the word wasn't supposed to be 'homosexual' but pedophile, but was left as is because the wrong sentiment was already set in, it is man, not god, who caused the whole problem. Homosexuality has been part of humanity ever since it began. It is also prevalent in animals, over 1,500 species as of last count. So what that you can't reproduce in homosexual relationships? Not everyone wants children, and a lot of people want to adopt or foster. All are ways to have children. I'm sick of the hatred against people who are different. From being left-handed, to just being a woman, to being a different skin color, to being other-sexual, white people have tried to keep the world strictly to themselves. All white, all Xian, all heterosexual. Too bad gawd created all different colors and sexes. did you know that there is an organism that has 9000 sexes? I just read about it in a science article, so I don't remember much, but your gawd made that! (according to your belief, that is...) Love is love is love. No one has the right to dictate who you can and can't love (although you try your hardest.) If you choose to love the opposite gender, that's ok. If you choose to love the same gender, that's ok too. It's no more wrong. Sex isn't only for procreation, you know. your gawd put all those nerve endings in genetalia for a reason. Ever read the Song of Solomon? If not, maybe you should. As for me, I am Bi and proud of it. I am also Pansexual - I can choose to love anyone, any gender, any skin color, any belief system, if I feel they are worthy of it. If I feel they are not, well, I don't have to love them, now do I? Let people love whoever they want! And if jewelry companies decide to pander to different types of couples than you approve of, simply change the channel adn watch something you approve of. It's that easy. But we LGBTQ+ are here to stay, so get used to it. Just like you got used to lefties and colored skin.

Wait, folks, is this 2024 or 1924? There are gay people in our population and they have the same capacity to love as others do. Let's step back and have a second look at the opponents. They claim to be Christian, and yet they ignore the generous teaching of their eponymous prophet, who preached love and acceptance of even the sinners and marginal and instead go digging in the Old testament for cryptic words of condemnation. I always wonder why such people are so emphatic about what they are against, and not more active practicing what they are for.

I can't believe how sick this country has become. It has evolved into something that is despicable. No wonder the kids these days are so screwed up. They think boys are girls girls are boys some even call themselves furries. They even put litterboxes in bathrooms for the messed up ones in schools. Now you tell me who is the bigot and wrong person. You people have all been brainwashed by this sick society. What happened to the old days when things were normal and things that should be kept at home should be kept at home.

Those of you quoting Roman's 1:26 should stop & think.

Did JESUS say any of this? I admit, I have issues with ALL of Paul's reachings; he's the ONE who said priests shouldn't marry and women shouldn't preach. I find him judgemental and arrogant.

I only read the words written in red...Jesus preached love, acceptance and more love. He wanted us bathed in love.

In truth, I no longer attend or believe in any biblical interpretations or religious sects. I especially do not follow any of the money hungering Evangelicals that demand your money and won't open their doors to hurricane victims because of their new carpet.

Evangelical men will always oppose any action or thoughts that threaten their balance of power, regardless of the words of Jesus.

Those "rules" are man made in order to fill the void in someone's EGO to push other people down in order to feel superior. And before anyone begins bashing those who are exercising their God given free choice consider this... The story is told that Jesus had a girlfriend or never took a wife but instead hung out with twelve guys for a bunch of years. Sounds suspiciously gay to me...

I just watched the ad. I saw a group of women "celebrating". Then I saw a couple of women embracing and kissing. Neither part was signaling nor "pushing" homosexuality. Now, if your sexuality is so weak that everything seemingly brings homosexuality to your mind, it seems to me ITS YOUR PROBLEM, no one else's. Everyone does not have to be like you to live in this world, nor do they have to conform to your belief system. Live and let live. Live your life as you wish and allow others the same.

Those that further their education (and by this I mean university and beyond, not continuing after junior high school) are statistically less likely believe superstitions such as the Jewish Zombie and other forms of Mr. Magic. And those with degrees, especially in the sciences, have higher incomes than those that decided to exit public schooling when confronted by biology and first year algebra.

They are also more likely to be able to support their position and opinions. This as opposed to those that lack even the ability to use punctuation to break up their stream of consciousness blatherings into coherent forms known ad ‘sentences’.

Rev. Rooster, the Bible did not say homosexual. That word was added in 1946 and many theologians believe it was mistranslated. Jesus didn’t encourage his followers to accept any and all lifestyles. Rather, he taught that the way to salvation is open to “everyone exercising faith in him.” (John 3:16)

Exercising faith in Jesus includes conforming to God’s moral code, which forbids certain types of conduct, including homosexuality.

That's why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene. Romans 1:26, 27.

We can trust God’s word and still ask questions about it. As Christians read the Bible, something in scripture may seem confusing, unlikely, or even contradictory. The healthy approach to questioning the Bible in these cases is to first remember God’s Word is infallible (2 Peter 1:21).
