A former CIA spy claims he knows where the Ark of the Covenant is. And you’ll never guess how he found it.
The spy worked on the top secret Stargate Project throughout the 1980s, a government initiative to investigate paranormal phenomena – and more importantly, their military applications. The project's primary focus was the possible use of psychics and mediums.
The Stargate Project was disbanded in 1995 after spending $20 million in taxpayer funds, concluding that psychic abilities like remote viewings and premonitions have no scientific proof.
...Or so they say.
Fast-forward to today: Major Ed Dames, who worked on the project as a "CIA seer", claims that not only are his psychic abilities real – but that they’ve led him to the Ark of the Covenant.
What is the Ark of the Covenant?
The Ark of the Covenant is one of the most important and sought-after artifacts in all of known religious history. Biblical tradition dictates that the Ark itself is a chest approximately 52”x31”x31” in dimension made entirely of acacia wood and covered in gold. Its lid (called the “Seat of Mercy” featured two golden statues of cherubim (the same kind of angel said to guard the entrance to the Garden of Eden).
It was said to have been built by Moses on Mount Sinai per the explicit instructions of God to house other holy relics – most notably the stone tablets on which the Ten Commandments were written, but also the purportedly miraculous walking stick used by Moses’ brother, Aaron, a jar of anointing oil, and a golden pot of manna.
Tradition holds that the Ark was a tremendously powerful vessel, and it is described in the Bible as being the catalyst for several miraculous events - it could purportedly part rivers, cause plagues, and level city walls. It is also believed that God spoke directly to people on Earth through the gilded lid, and various kings of Israel were said to have consulted with God via the Ark prior to military battles.
Jewish tradition states that the Ark vanished in 685 BCE during the Babylonian sack of Jerusalem. Though there are countless theories of where it went and what happened to it – no reliable evidence exists for the Ark after this date. Where’s Indiana Jones when you need him?
The Ark Uncovered?

Maj. Dames says his ability to remote view led him to the Ark. Think of it as concentrated clairvoyance. During a remote viewing session, the seer is allegedly able to "see" distant objects, people, or events through paranormal means. During a session, the seer achieves a transcendental state of relaxation akin to meditation, focusing only on their subject. If the session is successful, the object will appear in their mind's eye. Since leaving the service, Maj. Dames has been conducting remote viewing sessions with students, hoping to teach them the art of psychically leaving their bodies.
But he’s also been conducting some sessions of his own.
Last year, he began searching for the Ark using his supposed powers. As a result, Maj. Dames says he now knows where it is. During a remote viewing session, he says the Ark’s location slowly crystallized. “I'm inside a dark place, and I feel very insecure because there’s a feeling that I can’t describe. Never felt it before, and it scares me,” he stated, narrating his mental journey towards the Ark’s location. “I’m inside some type of a stone tunnel, and there’s an object, and the object is boxy and it’s heavy and dense.. It’s dark, I’m still a little bit antsy, but I am still in control of my unconscious.”
Via his psychic abilities, Maj. Dames slowly discovered the Ark’s resting place: The Cave of the Patriarchs.
The Cave of the Patriarchs
The Cave of the Patriarchs, otherwise known as the Sanctuary of Abraham, is a cave system just south of Jerusalem. Religious tradition holds that the caves were purchased by Abraham as a burial plot, and the Cave of the Patriarchs is considered a holy site in all Abrahamic faiths.
Could the Ark of the Covenant be buried deep under the final resting place of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?
Dames says yes. Given that he believes the Ark is buried deep underneath the holy cave – and public access is forbidden to the cave anyway – it seems unlikely any excavation could ever be greenlit, despite the pinpoint accuracy Dames says his visions have.
Perhaps that’s for the best? We all remember what happened in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Are Psychics Real?
What do you think about these claims? It’s a pretty outlandish theory, but Dames was confirmed to be involved in a military project studying this exact phenomena. Critics might say that psychic visions are just an expression of what we want to be true – rather than a real power to be harnessed.
But is it possible that this man does indeed have some sort of second sight, and he actually did locate a biblical relic which has been sought after by everyone from kings, biblical scholars, and scientists for nearly 1,500 years?

When the Anti-Christ comes and makes an agreement with the Jewish nation to complete the restoration of the new temple. Then the Ark of the Covenant will be restored as part of the temple and the restoration of all Jewish practices. This is all based on those spiritual leaders who study the Bible related to the end times before the return of the Messiah Jesus. This will occur before the Messiah Jesus returns to fight the ultimate battle with Satan and his followers.

Maj. Dames has problems. He is always in a dark place. He use to be on Coast to Coast am with Art Bell. Show me more proof than he stating.
-
Interesting article of the ark of the covenant The Jewish ark is even more interesting. So be it may the miracles or supernatural way preveil for What is God's plan with this.
-
Sorry folks. Jesus is sitting on the mercy seat on the right side of God until the time comes for Him to assend, destroy evil and reside with us, the ark was taken up just as Moses and Elijah
-
Want to be believed? Produce the Arc and prove it was found through this process first.
-
Geez... this stuff again? When will the Right ever give up on finding a supernatural way to power? The Euro-Nazi's tried that before ... very occult oriented those seeking power and ultimate victory.
Now, the MAGgAtes and Christian Nationalists of our day, same old crap. Over and over and over these people ...oi vey!
And I would say the same of Jewish Right Wingers...greedy land developers and usurpers using religion to justify genocide, but also land development: like... Donald the T-Rump proposing removing Palestinians from their lands so he can develop a resort of some sort.
The Ark story is a Jewish story
That is not a map to one always being right, one asserting one's rightness or eventual "righteousness."
Renda L Greene's post makes sense here. Some people live in "la la land, " like they're viewing a Godzilla movie and blaming Japan for their problems.
I take a certain offense at the co opting of ancient Jewish stories as fact: especially when ancient stories are viewed, quite impotently, as more important than what is going on now in full view. Nazi's are right in front of our faces, and yet... people argue over ancient stories.
I will tell you my story... if such a thing as the Ark existed? Maybe, but it was a gilded chest where sacred texts may have been stored, and easily moved as people migrated.
It was not a "radio to g-d" or any other such thing except, certainly nothing "magical" but maybe as a focus of connection to g-d or the container for what rules and obligations people in their determination were essential social contracts.
Why people later and why people now want to make it out as some kind of object of sacred magic or a way to power?
I refer them to the commandments they claim to uphold... this is not a sacred object or an object of power.
This is a wooden box, in which people way past, placed their beliefs and supporting stories they had written.
And regardless of whether it rests one place or another or is lost today: people should take a hint and pay attention to the here and now, and what is happening, and weigh the humanity versus the ridiculous superstition....
Because what is going on here in our country in our times?
NAZIS.
Funny how the same people sought out so-called occult power back then too...
Peace out and fight Nazi's

All that I can say is that if Major Danes is legitimate as he claims, why hasn't he hit the lottery a few times? Why hasn't any of his "students"? Don't even put greed into the equation. Having a couple of hundred millions of dollars stockpiled would allow him to teach his "craft" for free and change the world's cultures. Just imagine what the world would be like if just 1% of the world's population were capable of performing such feats. The likelihood of greed within that 1% is pretty good so some lottery winners would be multiple winners. How come we aren't crawling with multi-millionaires. How would the Powerball jackpot ever reach near a billion dollars? Remote viewing is just a carnival side show act. Nonsense for the marks to spend their money on.

The Ark was found already. " Raiders of the Lost Ark" y'all. Makes as much sense as a CIA psychic.
-
If Major Dames has a reliable ability to farsense, then that would have been easily proven long before 10 years and $20 million, rather than the CIA "concluding that psychic abilities like remote viewings and premonitions have no scientific proof." Since this project started in the 1980s, and ended in 1995, but Major Dames did not retire, he should have been able to prevent disasters like Benghazi, Desert Claw, the failed Iraqi Air Campaign, etc. He also should have been able to look into the truth of the matter in recent political debates, like the January 6th debacle, and whether or not major voter fraud happened. Since the CIA didn't directly investigate any of these events, I'm guessing they knew nothing special about them.

Never say never. Those with minds open to the possibilities of the universe, those who are open to God’s miracles, and those who believe the unknown can become known- these are the people who move civilization forward.

It’s no secret that the CIA operated a remote viewing program for years. They say it was shut down after being defunded—but this is the CIA we’re talking about, and let’s be honest: they’re not exactly known for honesty. Some remote viewers have reportedly done remarkable things, though I’m not familiar with Ed Dames, so I can’t speak to his credibility.
As for psychic abilities, I do believe some people have a real gift for seeing what others can’t. That’s just my belief, based on personal experience. That said, I also think a lot of people pretend to have abilities just to make money—and unfortunately, I believe there are more fakes out there than genuine psychics.

Mysticism has been a staple of the Christian faith for centuries. It starts with the visions of the prophets in the Old Testament to Paul's encounter with the risen Jesus to the visions and miracles performed by the saints of the early church. Who says it can't also happen today? One of my favorates is St. Teresa of Avila, a Carmelite Nun and known mystic of the 1500s. Her book, "The Interior Castle" describes the different levels of mysticism that goes from things like a person's conscience telling them what to do, and progresses through people who have both visual and auditory visions, to utlimate powers. Teresa reached the highes level which included levitation, which was witnessed by a congregation and was the "miracle" that eventually canonized her.
When I was in seminary, one of my professors was a Catholic Nun who lived in student housing in lieu of a convent. I mentioned to her some "auditory visions" I had had that were frightening when I was in a state of deep prayer, and she told me not to be afraid, because it was a gift [from God] that I had that ability to be aware of God speaking back to me in the course of prayer. Later studies of ancient and midieval mysitcs didn't completely convince me that it wasn't my own psyche talking to me, but my faith says differently. Whether God spoke to me directly or indirectly through my own faith, I got the message. In every case, that knowledge allowed me to embrace the "gift" and brought me peace.

The human mind is a fascinating thing. It can take us wherever we want to go, as long as it has already been informed. We hold so much information from the past it's difficult to fathom what is programmed information and what comes through other channels. I believe we are creators of fiction, but again, in order to create we must have specific info previously planted in our minds. I don't deny that we might be a bit psychic at times. I don't have a clue why that would be. I suppose I could create an elaborate story around those psychic moments, but I'd know the truth. The truth is-- no one knows. I've known so many people that have claimed to be psychic, but their circumstances never changed. You'd think it would. They had to plod along with the rest of us to make a living. Several days before I had to drive to an appointment I started freaking out about going on the highway, (Never had a problem with it before) but this time was different. I cried and begged my husband to take me. He could not, and thought I was crazy. He showed me the back way to get there. On that day, I felt I had to take the highway. My mom came with me. When we got into the car I told her to buckle up (before seat belts were the law). On the highway a nurse that had done a double shift fell asleep at the wheel and started coming toward my car. I laid on the horn, she woke up and pulled away from us, but I went into a spin and hit the side of the bridge. We were unharmed. She swerved off and landed on a grassy area. I don't know what would have happened to her had I not been there to lay on the horn. There were no other cars present at that moment. There were no spirit guides. No angels. No voices. It was just one of those things that makes you wonder. We like to make them into more than they are, and we like to think we have control over our psychic abilities. I think that is BS. There will always be things that can't be explained, but it isn't necessary to create elaborate stories, and beings, around unexplained events. Sometimes, they are just part of life.

Psychics are fraud, and that includes Ed Dames. He once predicted that Humanity would be moving underground because of some calamity, he predicted that back in the late 1980s but that never happened.

Hello, Hate to hear disparaging comments about a veteran who has been honorable discharged. He is not an apparent whacko and we are taught not judge lest we be judged by our own standards. Didn't Christ foretell many things!? On a personal note: I have worked with Homicide detectives on some of the worst cases as my spiritual gift is to "walk" in a another's shoes so to speak. Corinthians teaches that many of us will have gifts. May I suggest God works in mysterious ways and best to learn, discern yet make no judgements on another. God created him, the military used him and he continues on his path. How do walk your path and not see we are all created in His image. We are but sparkles on His robes. Show how you sparkle and try not to smother the light in another.
-
Venerating a "veteran who has been honorably discharged" is an odd angle to take on this story. Ed Dames never looked down the wrong end of a gun barrel and survived. He sat in an office and "saw things". By all means admire him for successfully cheating taxpayers and getting paid a Major's salary for his smoke and mirrors show, but he doesn't deserve to be honored.

The Great Randi offered a prize that grew in size to $1M for anyone that could prove paranormal/psychic abilities. Many people gave it a shot but all failed.
This is total male bovine fecal matter and anyone that believes such is full of said substance.
-
Ain't that the truth ! One cannot find the Arc since there never was an Arc of the Covenant. It is just another contrivance of Biblical mythological nonsense spun for those that lack critical thinking and have overblown imagination susceptible to manipulation. The essence of faith is believing is seeing as opposed to reality where seeing is believing thru scientific methodology. Amen.

It's right next to the golden plates for the book of Mormon.
-
Ha! Good one! Didn't Smith give them back to the Angel Macaroni? Who would return "30 to 60" pounds of gold to anyone but a gun-toting madman?
-
-
I believe he knows where it is as much as I believe it is a box lost in a government warehouse after Indy recovered it from the Nazi's.
I will believe it when it actually is found, not when someone wanting his 15 minutes of fame claims he knows where it is.
-
Since the ark disappeared during the Babylonian capture in 586BC, how did the author determine that the ark has been sought after for1500 years--more like 2600. BTW the ark is in a crate in a government warehouse in Washington, DC.
-
I do indeed believe Mr. Ed has knowledge most do not; he knows how to bilk money from the gullible. I wonder how much he charges to "teach" his BS.
-
Back in the 90s it was like 2400 bucks to learn remote viewing out in California. Allegedly passed time wasn't a constraint, they could peer back in time.
-
Do you mean to indicate “passed time” or “past time”?
-
-
-
But we have known where it was for quite awhile.
-
I also remember this guy from the old Art Bell show. He talks a good talk but it's all nonsense. Can't think of a single thing he got right with his remote viewing crap.
-
Wow! Lots of negative comments. I make no judgement because God has not stopped working insights given to any individual of his making and choice. I do not say this is true nor do I say it is false. I do find it interesting that the perceived location is related to the burial sights of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I would expect that the burial of the Ark of the Covenant will be in an area where denial for excavation exists. Remember God knows the future and how this Holy Ark could be hidden knowing full well another spiritual system would have ownership of the location. I wonder if those who were so negative in his or her remarks negate that the Garden of Eden exists and that the assigned angels keep us from finding its location? It does take prayer and discussion with God to distinguish those who are false or true prophets. We must be careful to still be open to God as He may or may not reveal more to us currently.
-
Peggyann, I know where a big bag of gold is buried right near your house. I'll tell you where for fifty bucks.
-
Nice try Rev. BH. I will save fifty dollars. Seems like you and others like you put God in a box. Think of all the unexpected people that God has used throughout the entire Bible to reveal or profess prophecy of God messages to humanity. Do you believe God does not continue as He pleases currently to reveal as God chooses? We do know that when the second temple was destroyed the Ark of the Covenant was hidden by a group Jewish followers. Rumor has existed that the Ark of the Covenant was taken to a country in Africa. Only God knows for sure of the location of the Ark of the Covenant and it may be found elsewhere as suggested in the article in questions. Take God outside of the boxes of religious dogma. The Peace of God be with you and all readers. Rev. Peggyann

My take is that the Ark of the Covenant was destroyed years ago. With the atonement of Jesus Christ such an object like the ark is no longer needed since believers can now go to God directly for redemption without the need for an intermediary priesthood.
-

Then the Ark of the Covenant will be restored as part of the temple and the restoration of all Jewish practices. In the old testament many references to them, soothsayers , was normally the name given to them. Saul disguised himself for information concerning his life cause he wouldn't listen to the profit that annoyed David as king.
-
I find it rather convenient that they can’t be validated through investigation… curiouser and curiouser, said Alice.
-
I used to listen to the Art Bell show in the 90s and I remember this guy Ed Dames. Was always fascinated by Art's interviews with the guy. Dames definitely believes what he's saying about Remote Viewing.
Finding something is holding something. Where he says it is, you'll not be going to take a peek. Islamists will not allow for it.
-
SoJ: I loved Art Bell ! He was always courteous and tolerant of all varieties of crackpots. Wish his kind was still interviewing instead of the New Angry and Argumentative.
-
For sure bh, he gave all his guests the microphone. It was theirs and he didn't disparage.
Was he not the king of funky news!!!??

There are people that have some abilities that the average do not have. They are more focused or tuned in to a channel most are too distracted to ever discover. Deep meditation is a prime example, hypnotism and the spirit world yet another. If it doesn't come naturally, it can be developed by forced self discipline. It is much easier to achieve the younger you are and must be frequently practiced. That said, many people think and believe they are psychics just as many think they are witches because they bought a doormat that says they are. Between the ages of 10 and 12 I practiced astral projection and had a spirit guide that showed me more than I needed to know. It took a long time to close that door and things still creep through at times. Is it real, yes it can be. Many proclaimed psychics are hustlers with some that get caught up in their own act. The few real ones are are not constantly turned on, they can't be or they'd lose touch with the current reality we are all familiar with. My personal experience tells me you must have a destination to travel, but I never used it to find things.
-
Robert,
I don't doubt the things you've said. There's something happening behind the veil and we just can't peer through very well or at all. I feel that there are those of us unwilling to even see the veil at all. Those that can see the veil risk going down their own rabbit hole straight into madness from attempts to peer beyond it.
I always felt that opening your mind to what's beyond the veil could be an All Welcome doormat to enter our minds but it doesn't have to be.
Interesting perspective.
-
Odd that you mention madness. Until you've stood at the very edge of it and experienced the allure of it's warm embrace, knowing that if you succumb you can never come back. That is an extraordinary experience. As for the veil, you can see quite clearly through it. But it exists for a reason, we don't belong there.

Psychicso are all charlatans who scam people out of money and or memories of loved ones it's all a set up
-
Okay, so it is buried where excavation is prohibited, and like all the rest, cannot be proven. I wonder will there ever be any provable facts to come from all of this fiction? I don't mind faith, but please stop proclaiming it as fact until you have real facts. As far as psychics are concerned, I would chalk most of that up to over imagination. There may be a time when the human brain will be unlocked, but we are a very long way from there.
-
Right. Like there is no way to objectively verify the Book of Mormon because the gold plates where it was supposed to have come from were given back to the angel who initially gave them to Joseph Smith. In either case it’s a matter of convenience.
-
I wholeheartedly agree with you 100%. Proven Facts from most things are what make truth undeniable. Without proven facts, most things are just based on hearsay and subject to scrutiny.
-
psychic powers are deffinetly real, everyone has psychic powers but not everyone knows how to use them, i myself have several different psychic powers, telepathy (reading minds), premonition (seeing future), precognition (getting messages from Gods, Goddesses, spirits, and angels and archangels), mediumship, feel other emotions, learning telekinesis etc. but what hes doing isnt remote viewing, its astral traveling, remote viewing requires holding an item and seeing info about it, unless he had a part of the ark in his physical hands hes really astral traveling to the ark, anyone can be psychic even including spies
Please get well, Lady Samantha. With your psychic powers you obviously knew I was going to say that…..right? If you didn’t, well…….my first comment still stands. Please get well. 🤗
🦁❤️
Lionheart, "Please get well" was funny once. Saying it twice is like repeating a joke hoping for more laughs.
Thank you for your concern, and the need you have to attempt to moderate/edit my posts.
Please get well my friend. 🤪
🦁❤️
As you everyone knows, no one can "moderate/edit posts" here. I can't even add funny emojis, though that sure would be adorable fun! And a great way to demean posters mental states followed by a cute "just kidding!" happy face.
Please be kind my friend 8^|
