2014 has been a landmark year for the homosexual community, and October was a landmark month. On top of the Supreme Court's affirmation for gay marriage around the country, we even saw the release of a powerful and controversial statement from Pope Francis warmly inviting the homosexual community into the Catholic Church.

We hope that all of you are adjusting more easily to the end of Daylight Savings Time than we are (which might explain why this newsletter is coming to you a week late - apologies!).
As we rapidly enter the holiday season, we here at the Universal Life Church are excited for the chance to celebrate the victories and lament the defeats brought by 2014 with our loved ones.
Now is the time to work to understand and accept those who may be different from us, that we might move into the new year with clear hearts and minds on the path toward peaceful coexistence.
