Parents are up in arms over a Catholic charity event in which kids were read a book that teaches gender is a spectrum. Titled “My Shadow is Purple,”
the book tells readers that they don’t necessarily have to conform to gender stereotypes, and that individuality is okay. But some parents say it’s
shocking that a Catholic charity would endorse a message which they view as contradictory to faith teachings.
