In America, religion and government are supposed to be independent of one another. But don't tell that to Judge Roy Moore, the frontrunner in Alabama's upcoming Senate race. Moore, an outspoken Christian, has a long track record of acting upon his faith while in government office and resisting calls to put his beliefs aside.
Roy Moore is perhaps best known as the "Ten Commandments Judge" a nickname he earned back in the 1990s when he famously hung a copy of the commandments on the door to his judicial chambers. Moore went on to defy a federal order to remove a large statue of the Ten Commandments from Alabama state property.
Over the years, he's been publicly forced out of several government positions for refusing to compromise on his strong Christian beliefs.
Is America a Christian County?
Absolutely, according to Moore. He argues that the Constitution was written to "foster Christianity" and that the founders intended America to be a Christian nation. In his mind, the Christian God is "the only source of our law, liberty and government."
"To deny God to deny Christianity or Christian principles is to deny what the First Amendment was established for. You see, the First Amendment was established on Christian principles," Moore explains.
Sharia Law in the U.S.
In addition to his Christian convictions, Moore is also highly skeptical of Islam. In a recent interview with the online publication Vox, Moore made headlines by insisting that certain areas of the U.S. were currently under Sharia law. The puzzling exchange is worth reading in full.
Roy Moore: There are communities under Sharia law right now in our country. Up in Illinois. Christian communities; I don't know if the__y may be Muslim communities.
But Sharia law is a little different from American law. It is founded on religious concepts.
Reporter: Which American communities are under Sharia law? When did they fall under Sharia law?
Roy Moore: Well, there's Sharia law, as I understand it, in Illinois, Indiana up there. I don't know.
Reporter: That seems like an amazing claim for a Senate candidate to make.
Roy Moore: Well, let me just put it this way if they are, they are; if they're not, they're not. That doesn't matter.
He offered no further details on the issue.
Opposition to Gay Marriage
Judge Moore's faith has also led him to take strong stances on social issues such as gay marriage. Even after the Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage, he remained resolute. As Alabama's Chief Justice, he instructed the state's probate courts to deny marriage licenses to gay couples. As a result, he was forced to step down from his judicial post.
But his opposition to appears to go beyond concerns about marriage as recently as 2005, Moore insisted that "homosexual conduct" should be made illegal nationwide, defiantly comparing it to bestiality during a televised interview.
On the Road to Washington
Since Roy Moore is the Republican candidate running in a red state, the odds are high that he'll be elected the next Senator of Alabama.
It's yet to be seen if Moore will put a copy of the Ten Commandments on the door to his Senate office, but judging by his track record and deep Christian convictions, it would likely come as a bigger surprise if he decided not to.

I always drive straight through Alabama without stopping or fly over it. I suggest everyone else does the same. It's just one little state in fifty and we really don't need it. Apparently most of the voters there must be backward and prejudiced people or they wouldn't keep voting for politicians who are. The rest are probably self-defeatists. John . . . if only people researched negative media reports, they would understand that the media skews the truth. It is especially evident in Judge Moore's smeared reputation. CNN recently released a history of same-sex marriage bans by 36 states and a few states who granted same-sex marriage licenses and a few others who banned it but not through the legislature. Both times that Judge Moore was suspended from the bench, it was done illegally by Alabama's (then corrupt) Court of Judiciary. A judge in Alabama ruled that a same-sex couple can be married. Then she wrote a letter to 36 Attorney Generals who upheld their states' rules of law and told them that banning it is unconstitutional. Judge Moore told Attorney General Luther Strange and the people of Alabama that this judge with limited powers cannot ban the states' rule of law on same-sex marriage. Chief Justices Thomas, Scalia (deceased), and Alito agreed. Someone else who agreed was an International Law Professor Dr. Wasserman (who wrote "Alabama Dust-Up"). Judge Moore and the three U.S. Supreme Court Justices were the reason the U.S. Supreme Court decided to step in and declare same-sex marriage to be constitutional. The 36 Chief Justices all wrote letters thanking Judge Moore for making people understand what it takes to make laws. Of course, the biased media (biased against the truth) never told particulars but chose to try to make our Chief Justice and all the people of Alabama look as though we were backward and prejudiced. Alabama is a well kept secret (there are more PhD's in north Alabama than anywhere else in the U.S.) in that, we respect how others think but we do not always believe as you do. President Trump did not understand the politics of Alabama and early in the Senate race, McConnell and Strange asked him to support Strange . . . which he did. When it was announced, the President soon learned that he may have made a mistake. Many do not understand, but the people of Alabama may speak a little slower and may seem backward but we do not live on a social fast track here. We have wonderful social lives but we are also concerned about our State's affairs and any corruption that needs to be voted out of office (or worse, through the appeals court). The only serious embarrassment that we see are protests against our President and what is occurring in sanctuary cities.

As for Sharia law? That depends on what he means. Sharia, which means "path," is a set of guiding moral principles derived from the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed, and is inseparable from the practice of Islam and covers every aspect of Muslim life. It's also highly subject to interpretation. It's basically the same thing as practicing Christianity or Judaism, it just has a specific name. I doubt that's what he meant, though, since he backpedaled so quickly. I'm assuming he meant the actual legal system with the harsh corporal punishments. That's ridiculous. US law always takes precedence.

The Founding Fathers were of the Gnostic persuasion. Its not that they did not believe in the message of Jesus, they just knew that he was simply one of us, and that there have been quite a few on Earth as enlightened as Jesus. He's a sanctimonious, hypocrite that wants to rise to power so badly only to enforce his perverted religious views on us all. He will get elected, the state is something like 55-60% republican and in today's environment, they won't break party lines. In case no one knows the majority of this state is southern baptist. Most of them honestly don't know any better and will vote how they're told. Pastors want this garbage in the senate so we can turn time back 60-70 years, they have been holding him up as if he is the second coming. If for some bizarre reason he doesn't win the senate then he assuredly will run for governor again. The good people of this state doesn't deserve this, but the simple minded are the majority.

Let me throw my 2 cents in here, since I do know something about this.
America was founded to be a Common Law nation, which is a way of saying extremely basic law, without complexity, based on the principle of "do not harm your neighbor". Unfortunately, our legal system was hijacked at some point (some say with the help of Alexander Hamilton), to become Judicial (Judaic) law. Jewish law is based on contract equity, going all the way back to the Covenant (which was a legal contract) with what Jews refer to as "God", but true Christians know to be just the local Demiurge playing both God and Satan. Most people are not aware, but European Monarchy is controlled by Judaic law, because the Catholic Church is essentially Judaism for gentiles.

Sharia law, though most are not aware, is simply a form of Judaic law, as Judaism, Catholocism and Islam are the same Babylonian based worship of the Demiurge.
So, when people say that American law is meant to be Christian, they are both right and wrong.
They are wrong as we have been infiltrated by the Old World European Order of Judicial/Judaic law, so as to try to turn America into the New World Order (World Satanism).
They are right (mostly unknowingly), because the founders of this nation were Gnostics, or Gnostic Christians. The highlight of Gnostic belief is that religion and government are false oppressors of man used by the false Demiurge to control us, and that we are directly connected to our true Creator without need of such middle men... something those like Jesus were aware of and taught. Common Law was an attempt to encapsulate that simple knowledge via simple law that was basically based on, Do unto your brother as you would have done onto you. Sadly, that message was lost both in Christianity (largely), as well as in America.
The Founding Fathers gained enlightenment in the earlier Gnostic/Masonic brotherhood. Unfortunately, these Gnostic societies were hijacked by Adam Weishaupt in 1776 (same year as America's birth) so as to not allow America to become the enlightened land we were meant to be. Knowledge (or Gnosis) is simply knowledge, and can be used for both good or bad.

Not that part. I've travelled a lot in my childhood and as an adult, but I was raised a rural southerner from the age of 13 up. I also worked construction for most of my life, pipeline, underground utilities, driving a cement truck, so being blunt is my nature. My adult children often remind me to "filter".
I just meant I would not have used as NICE a language as you, nor as scholarly. I learned from studying great speakers that when addressing a group, if you really want to communicate, you speak to the youngest child in the group, and all those with a more highly developed lexicon will understand easily. Still, I have not thought to try to tell some of those things here. Most of the people on the blog here are still barely able to drink milk, much less chew on meat. When you tell them the most easy to understand thing in simple language, they want to try to reason around it with the silliest and stupidest arguments.

I used to just assault people with things I knew, but found it just creates argument back and forth. Believe me though, it is a very difficult chore to stay polite when describing the ruin of country, world and souls. I guess I try to keep the higher ground these days.
I grew up Catholic in NY but always sensed something majorly wrong, even as a kid. When I was 20 in the Air Force I got taken to see a William Cooper lecture in Arizona. It was his Mystery Babylon lecture series. I am a changed man ever since. So much so, that my plan is to leave this dirty city and go to the country myself.

I meticulously read Hislop’s “Two Babylons” or “The Papal Worship, Proven to be the Worship of Nimrod and His Mother/Wife, Semiramis,” about 40years ago. Exactly John...... only American slavery of blacks need ever be in a history book. Forget the fact that South America had about 5 to 6 times more black slavery than us, forget that only about 2% of Americans ever owned slaves at the time, forget that around 700,000 white guys (North only) died in a war to free slaves, forget that slavery was invented my Arabs/Africans, forget that blacks sold the slaves to the slave traders, forget that Lincoln once tried to send freed slaves back to Africa only to find out they had later enslaved each other.
Our history books are garbage. The slave trade was run by the British/Dutch Crown in conjunction with Jewish European bankers. The first slaves ever purchased in America were bought by a North Carolina colony that spent all their money on it, just to get them off the ship and away from the cruel slave traders. They were taken care of in exchange for help in the fields, and this eventually morphed into the crueler slavery we all know about.
I wonder how many people are aware that the modern Democratic party was born out of the Dixiecrats, which was started by SLAVE OWNERS?! How many people know that the KKK were the early Democratic enforcement arm? Many Democratic politicians aren't from the South for nothing! How many people know Martin Luther King was Republican, and killed by a Democrat?

People shouldn't be worried because with him running it is religion in politics once again because some officials back maybe in the 1950's and further back there were Christians in office. Because back in the times of Lincoln and all the way back to Washington Christianity religion was strict back then in you families. On Sunday afternoons after church nobody played or worked on Sunday. You had eat lunch and listen to your mom or dad read the bible. Then it is still there from Lincoln to the present. In some offices in politics now on the Democrat side everybody isn't religious its more basically like "hey screw you and same to you". On the Republican side its religious people I mean you got your born again Christians, Baptists, Methodists, Assemblies of God,a Catholic or two, and maybe the occasional Jew. So I don't why people are worried it just your ordinary guy running for office and you don't need to worry about it.
