By Brian Leal, San Diego, CA If youre Christian or simply interested in the Bible as literature Everett Fox's translation and commentary of The Torah: The Five Books of Moses is a beautiful surprise. I was given this edition of the Torah as a gift for Christmas this year, and after letting it sit next to my bible for a few months I eventually got around to reading it. I should have picked it up right away, reading this edition was almost like completely rediscovering the first books of the Bible! I love the commentary the translator offers, it does an amazing job at explaining very specific literary devices used in the original Hebrew.
