KERRICK THOMAS is a teaching pastor at The Journey Church of the City in New York City. Thomas, who received his Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, regularly co-leads training events with Nelson Searcy.

After being ordained with the Universal Life Church I was visiting the library and bookstores every weekend, looking for a book which would explain how to start my own Church. Then I saw Launch- Starting a New Church from Scratch in the Universal Life Churchs bookstore and ordered it right away. This book has been an incredible help in starting my new church and I make sure its by me in the office at all times. I was a little wary that any book on starting a church would be more focused on gaining members than on spreading faith, and I really feel like the authors get it right. Authors, Nelson Searcy and Kerrick Thomas, give excellent step-by-step details of the starting a church, to keep things simple, and get your Church started the right way.
